8.73% of the total materials used on the project were from rapidly renewable sources.

Materials with high recycled content of 38.61% by cost were also used

LCES facilitated First international airport in the world to achieve LEED EB SILVER rating

The existing terminal of Bangalore international airport (BIA) received coveted SILVER rating from USGBC. This is a unique achievement for BIA and this building became the FIRST International airport in the world to achieve LEED SILVER rating for Existing Buildings.

Early clearance by MOEF for Projects going Green

MOEF has issued a notification stating that LEED & GRIHA projects will get priority clearance over conventional projects going for the MOEF clearance. This is a great initiative by MOEF to encourage green building movement across India.

“Thimbu IT park, Bhutan facilitated by LCES achieved LEED CS pre-certified Platinum rating”

‘Assetz in association with the Royal Government of Bhutan has designed and developed the First IT Building in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, comprising of 50,000sqft of IT office space. The project has achieved LEED Pre-certified Platinum rating under the USGBC Core & Shell rating system with 85 points’.

LCES facilitated First Library in Asia to achieve LEED NC GOLD rating

The Anna Centenary Library building, Chennai receives the coveted LEED NC Gold rating from IGBC in the month of July 2010. This is a unique achievement for the Tamil Nadu State Government and this building became the first Library Building in Asia to reach this unique milestone. This project has achieved 43 LEED points, highest amongst any Govt Buildings in Tamil Nadu thus far.
